Jack watched her and then looked at Andrei, swallowing. He was finding this being in the middle of the command chain hard work, torn because Nora wanted him to order Andrei about while his gut reaction to a creature of such power was to submit, unequivocally and completely. That said, she settled back with a dare in her expression, just watching her boys. They were playing about as she expected them to (which was to say, well and not well at once).
